Families are concerned for the marriage of their sons

A very burning issue these days- Families are concerned for the marriage of their sons.
In many parts of world including India the situation of women is poor in comparison to developed countries where women are educated and aware of their rights.

From the ancient times, several heinous actions were taken to kill the girl infant as they were considered to be the burden to the family. There are several factors which contribute behind this evil customs like Dowry system (very popular in India), the notion that Sons are the successors and inherit the tradition of family.

This has led the humanity in to danger and the India’s child sex ratio has deteriorated at rapid pace in the past 10 years. The gap is widened to 914 between the numbers of girls over per 1000 boys. This number varies state to state depending upon the literacy rate and economic status of the state.

The figures and facts are becoming more alarming if studied in respect to the caste and religion and this is leading several reputed families’ overage sons are getting married to tribal girls.

The Inter-caste marriages are welcomed but this act is the result of drawback to the girl infant killing.
Central and MP Government involvement is appreciated in saving girl child and promoting several such schemes which welcome girl’s birth in family but the situation could only be better with the self realization.
